NURS 4105 Perioperative Unique Nursing Care

1 SCH. This course content will provide students with an overview of the perioperative culture, environment, interprofessional team dynamics, and a nurse’s role in the human recovery process. Preoperative, intraoperative, and post anesthesia care topics will be explored. The concepts emphasized include attention to safety, incorporating whole health discharge planning, and communication during limited patient interaction. Nursing essential principles of advocacy, teaching, and safety will be discussed and implemented through various coursework.
