BMSC 5330 Biotechnology: Internship/Capstone Project

3 SCH. The capstone project is a required component of the online Biotechnology Master’s program. The capstone project aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to contribute to the biotechnology field. This individualized scholarly work may consist of a detailed case study, literature review, data analysis project or research project, or internship project. Students will be paired with a mentor from UNTHSC or our partner organizations to oversee their work. At the beginning of the capstone, the mentor and student will identify a topic or a specific problem to address or investigate. They will then construct an action plan or research proposal, and the student will conduct the data analysis/literature review. At the end of the project, the student will complete a project report and do an oral presentation of the project.
