EOHS 5319 Climate Change and Health


3 SCH. This course will investigate the health impacts of climate change. Students will apply and evaluate strategies for preventing and managing the health risks of climate change. A broad range of issues will be covered including: climate related disasters, extreme heat, air pollution, vector borne diseases, forced migration, environmental justice, health equity, the impacts of gender, public engagement and communication practices and the health co-benefits of climate mitigation strategies.
Prerequisite: Completion of EOHS 5300 or obatain permission of the instructor.
