DPHT 7301 Pathophysiology for the Physical Therapist 3 SCH. This course will cover basic normal physiology and pathophysiology of the following body systems: nervous, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and metabolic. The pathogenesis of diseases or conditions that physical therapists may encounter during their practice will be explored at the cellular to individual level, including clinical manifestations of pathology and the impact of pathology on function and disability. The bidirectional relationship between pathology and exercise will be discussed. Prerequisite: Acceptance in the DPT curriculum. Offered Spring Letter Grade
