DPHT 7323 Physiology and Nutrition for the Physical Therapist

3 SCH. Physiology and Nutrition for the Physical Therapist concentrates on physiological and biochemical processes occurring in various body systems in healthy individuals. Neural, muscular, endocrine, reproductive, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems are discussed along with nutritional principles for proper health. Principles of exercise metabolism, testing and prescription are addressed for healthy individuals using exercise as a preventive and/or intervention tool.
