The Office of Medical Student Success was created to provide TCOM students a welcoming environment, timely and accurate advising, and programming designed to enhance their personal, professional, and career development through four functional areas: Advisory Colleges, Career Development, Student Events, and Enrichment activities.
The mission statement of each area is as follows:
Advisory Colleges: To promote the social, emotional, and vocational development of medical students.
Career Development: To provide comprehensive residency counseling for medical students through preclinical and clinical years in the areas of specialty exploration, residency application preparation, and successfully navigating the match.
Enrichment: To integrate an enhanced educational experience by providing evidence-based, culturally sensitive programs and services that foster a supportive and inclusive environment for student transition, persistence, and graduation.
Student Events: To implement programming in each of the functional areas and collaborate with offices across campus to celebrate milestones and create memorable activities for medical students.
