BACH 5352 Contemporary Issues in Public Health Practice and Leadership


3 SCH. This course will introduce students to public health practice in a health department setting with emphasis on policies and decisions that public health leaders make on a routine basis. In addition to public health perspectives, related factors such as community resources, community leadership, and local government political factors and funding are taken into consideration. In this course students will interview a local health department director or other Public Health leader. This course is designed to strengthen the understanding that students have regarding the practice of public health in current times.
Prerequisite: Completion of BACH 5300 or Instructor Permission
