Program Goals


Goals of the Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program:

Goal 1: Graduates will have acceptable mean scores on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)

Goal 2: Graduates will report acceptable percent employment rates in Physician Assistant practice

Goal 3: Graduating students will have acceptable mean scores on the PAEA end-of-rotation exams

Goal 4: Preceptors will report acceptable mean scores for students in the clinical phase in the areas of knowledge, skills, communication, and professionalism. 

Goal 5: Graduating students will report acceptable mean scores for the program (Items are “quality of education,” “preparation for work as PA,” and “recommend program”)

Student Achievement Goals:

For the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (HSC) PA graduates will demonstrate knowledge needed for Physician Assistant practice by achieving acceptable mean scores on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) first attempt 

The program will demonstrate commitment to preparing physician assistants for practice by achieving a graduation rate higher than the national average. 

Graduates will report working in at least one Physician Assistant position one-year post-graduation.
