NURS 5341 Health Promotion and Disease Prevention

3 SCH. This course offers a comprehensive examination of strategies to improve the health and well-being of individuals within correctional settings. The course explores evidence-based approaches to health promotion, disease prevention, and risk reduction tailored to the unique needs and challenges of incarcerated populations. Students will learn to address prevalent health disparities, implement preventive interventions, and promote healthy behaviors. Through case studies and interactive sessions, students will develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to advocate for and facilitate positive health outcomes in correctional settings.
