DPHT 7133 Applied Clinical Practice

1 SCH. This course is designed to provide students with an opportunity to apply the knowledge, skills, and concepts learned in their foundational physical therapy courses to patient cases which may be performed in a lab, simulation, or real-world environment. through a combination of case studies, group discussions, and hands-on practice, students will further develop their foundational professionalism, clinical reasoning, and critical thinking skills in preparation for their first clinical practicum. By the end of this course, students will have improved their competency in problem solving, critical thinking, and psychomotor skills. they will also be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals and document accurately and appropriately.
