MPAS 5207 Principles of Evidence Based Medicine 3 SCH. This course is designed to develop the student’s ability to interpret and appraise evidence in the medical literature and apply the results to clinical decision-making. The first part of the course focuses on addressing the quality of research findings related to purpose, study design, sample-size, data, statistical analysis, and interpretation of results. The second part focuses on examining the quality and applicability of the evidence base for clinical questions using evidence-based decision making skills. Assessment is conducted using lab assignments, individual projects, and written examinations. Offered SPRING ABC/NC
