PHAR 5325 Health Economics and Outcomes Research Independent Research Project

3 SCH. This course is the culmination of the Master’s Program in AOR. The student will independently work under the guidance of a mentor to demonstrate the command of AOR. The students will choose a feasible AOR project with the guidance of their mentors in the first (Fall) semester, develop it in the second (Spring) semester and complete by the end of third (Summer) semester. As part of the project the students will review the literature, design the study, use appropriate research methods, measures, statistical analyses, interpret the findings, draw conclusions and provide implications. At the end of the course, the student is expected to have a draft of a research article that can be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal and also do a formal presentation.
Prerequisite: Enrollment in MS-AOR Program
