PHAR 5229 Decision Analysis for Applied Outcomes Research

2 SCH. This course will introduce students to the scientific principles of making healthcare decisions under uncertainty. Students will be taught logical frameworks to create alternatives and set of tools to perform decision analysis. Instructors will teach concepts of cost-effectiveness, cost utility, patient-preferences, and value of health. The course will include decision trees, risk preferences, and Monte Carlo simulations for making healthcare decisions under uncertainty.
Prerequisite: Enrollment in MS-AOR  Program
