PHAR 5226 Internship in Health Economics and Outcomes Research


2 SCH. In this course, the students in academia will learn about Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) from qualified non-academic professionals in commercial enterprises, managed care organizations, contract research organizations, federal, state, and local governments, policy makers and health care systems. Students from non-academic settings will shadow academic professionals/scholars. The experience will provide the student an opportunity for translating academic training and skills to practical settings. The student will primarily be responsible for identifying internship opportunities and securing internships. The performance evaluations will be conducted by the internship supervisor where the student is conducting their internship.
Prerequisite: Admission to the MS-AOR Program
