Drug Discovery and Development Certificate Admissions

Admission Requirements:
- Required Criteria:
- By the time of matriculation into this DDD Certificate Program, applicants should have successfully completed at least 90 semester-credit hours of undergraduate coursework with a major in Chemistry or a discipline of life sciences from an accredited U.S. institution or an internationally comparable institution.
- Currently enrolled in a PharmD program
- At least 6 semester-credit hours (SCH) of Biology, 6 SCH of Chemistry, and 6 SCH of Calculus and/or Statistics
- GPA 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- English proficiency: Official English (TOEFL) test score reports are required for applicants from non-English-speaking countries where English is not an official language. This requirement is waived for students who have studied for at least 2 semesters in an English-speaking country. TOEFL Code for HSC: 8246.
- Applicants who do not meet all of those criteria may provide appropriate justification(s) for being considered on a case-by-case basis.
Application Procedure:
Fall 2022 application deadline is June 30, 2022. Please see the Admissions Webpage for updated 2022-2023 Application Requirements.
Application via HSC platform requires the following:
- One-page personal statement of interest in the program (maximum 400 words).
- Official transcript(s) from every higher education institution attended must be submitted directly from your institution(s) to admissions@unthsc.edu. A course-by-course WES International Credential Advantage Package (ICAP) is required from any international institution(s) attended.
- Whereas necessary, official English (TOEFL) test score reports must be submitted directly to admissions@unthsc.edu.
- Other optional supporting documents, such as CV or resume.
- $50 application processing fee required.
- Completed applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
