Students wishing to complete the Emphasis in Pharmacometrics will take core pharmacokinetics course, followed by the elective courses related to pharmacometrics-statistics for pharmacometrics, clinical pharmacology and drug development and pharmacometrics techniques-1.
After completing the Emphasis in Pharmacometrics, students will be:
- Better qualified for fellowships opportunities in clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics in pharmaceutical industry and regulatory agency
- Apply Bayesian methods for precision dosing in clinics
Completion of the program will be acknowledged in a visible block on the transcript denoting the Emphasis in pharmacometrics. The outcome of successfully completing the educational track will be documentation of the accomplishment on the student’s transcript and a certificate/letter of completion.
The number of students accepted for completion of the Emphasis in Pharmacometrics will be limited to 10 students per graduation class. Those interested must be students in good standing who are not on academic probation and must submit their resume and a letter of interest to their SEAS coordinator before being enrolled in the program.
