2021-2022 Catalog [ARCHIVED CATALOG]
MPAS/PhD
A combined Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) and PhD degree option has been established. The format is designed on a case-by-case basis to best meet the needs of the individual student. Currently, only students who are in a PhD track program can apply for this path, and they do so by applying for the MPAS program. Once accepted into the MPAS program, the student degree plan for the two degrees will be established and will be based on the stage of completion of the PhD requirements.
The goal of the curriculum for the MPAS/PhD track is to obtain the clinical skill training within the MPAS program in combination with obtaining a traditional PhD in biomedical research. Interested students should consult with the MPAS staff and/or Director of the Multidisciplinary Program.
