Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management

Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) students may now enhance their training through the new Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management. This fully online certificate consists of five courses or 15-credit hours. Courses in this certificate program are taught in an 8-week format online. Through the GCHM program, TCOM students will not only become more well rounded healthcare professionals, but they will also be transformed into competent and highly effective healthcare leaders of tomorrow.
The certificate consists of 15-credit hours of the five core healthcare management concept courses that are required of all MHA graduates. Upon completion of the Certificate, students earning a grade of B or better in each course who are admitted to the MHA program may apply all fifteen credit hours to their degree.
Admissions Requirements
- The applicant must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or its equivelant from an accredited university or college.
- Admitted or currently enrolled in UNTHSC Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Application Requirements
- Apply through SOPHAS Express portal. $50 application fee.
- Unofficial transcripts form all universities attened from at time of application. Official transcripts during first semester.

Program Procedures
- A maximum of 15 semester credit hours may be taken.
- Completion of departmental graduate courses by certificate students does not obligate the School of Public Health to grant permission to a degree program at a later date, unless all general and specific requirments for admission to that program have been met.
- Financial Aid (Loans) are not available in this status. Estimated costs $5,000 for Texas Residents, and $12,500 for Non-Residents.
