PHAR 5313 Quantitative Aspects of Drug Actions 3 SCH. This course is designed to acquaint the student with the quantitative basis and operational characteristics of the models of pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) that determine exposure-response relationships after single and chronic dosing. This course is delivered in an interactive format that students will be using general statistical software R to understand and evaluate various PK-PD models and their assumptions. Students will apply these PK-PD concepts to understand the role of PK-PD models in drug development research. Prerequisite: PHAR 7343 or equivalent course. Requires Course Director’s assessment and approval for enrollment Offered Fall Letter Grade
