BACH 6317 Addictive Behaviors 3 SCH. Addictive behaviors are associated with significant personal, social and economic consequences. This course provides an overview of the etiology, prevention, and treatment of alcohol and drug use, and behavioral addictions. Students examine theories and empirical evidence to explain the acquisition and maintenance of different kinds of addictive behaviors, as well as to generate effective prevention and intervention approaches. Prerequisite: Student must complete BACH 5300 or obtain permission of the instructor. Offered Fall Letter Grade
