Nursing Graduate Certificate Programs


The HSC College of Nursing (CON) is offering unique graduate certificates aligned with specialty areas. These certificates are open to the following applicants:

  • Any applicant with a baccalaureate degree or enrolled in a baccalaureate program from a regionally accredited university.

Other specific details include:

  • The graduate certificate offers a sequence of 3-credit courses for a total of 12 credit hours.
  • Earn your certificate with just four online courses, each course spanning 8 weeks, allowing you to complete the certificate in four 8-week semesters.
  • All courses are delivered 100% online by nationally recognized faculty and healthcare professionals.
  • Upon successful completion of the graduate certificate, nursing students earning a grade of B or better in each course who apply to the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program may apply all 12 credit hours toward completing the MSN in Practice Innovation degree.
  • Any healthcare professional can advance and upskill their expertise through our flexible and convenient graduate certificate programs.

The graduate certificates will cover the following topics: Correctional Health, Healthcare Management for Nurses, Substance Use Disorder, Chronic Disease Management, Digital Health Innovation, Palliative & Hospice Nursing, Patient Safety, Public Health, and Simulation in Nursing and Healthcare.
