DO/MPH Five-Year Integrated Curriculum Option 1


Notes: MPH courses offered online in concentrated 8-week sessions. Public Health Practice Experience (PHED 5297) must be completed over three semesters in a public health organization. Passing the national CPH Examination is required for conferral of the MPH degree and can be taken anytime after the five core (5300 courses) are completed.

*MEDE courses approved for elective MPH credit are subject to change depending upon revisions in the DO curriculum. Additional MPH elective coursework could be required. 

Year 3 Fall


Core Clerkships - Include the following:

Sequence and clerkships vary by student for Year 3 Fall and Spring courses.

Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, OG/GYN, Pediatrics, Osteopathic Manipulation, Psychiatry, Prof Identity & Health Systems Practice, and Clinical Elective (2 total for Yr 3)

Year 3 Spring


Core Clerkships - Include the following:

COMLEX Level 2 Board Exam (USMLE Step 2 Board Exam is Optional)

Students are required to take 7 electives for a total of 28 weeks and 2 optional months.

Year 4 Spring
