1 SCH. Students are trained in Basic Life Support (BLS), participate in health fairs coordinated &/or sponsored by UNTHSC and are oriented and begin the Seniors Assisting in Geriatric Education (SAGE) program (see description below). At health fairs, students may screen patients for one or more of the following: hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, and osteoporosis.
