NURS 6604 Psychiatric Mental Health NP III: Addressing the Needs of Special Populations

6 SCH. This course will focus on the mental health care needs of underserved and complex patient populations. Emphasis is placed on independent decision-making, time management, documentation, leadership in interprofessional teams, and management of challenging cases across special populations and settings.  Students will complete 135 direct care clinical hours.
Prerequisite: NURS 6101, 6102, 6203, 6302, 6304, 6306, 6602, and 6603
