NURS 6303 Research and Evidence-Based Practice

3 SCH. This course provides an overview of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method approaches in health research. Emphasis is placed on synthesis, evaluation, and translation of the literature to improve nursing practice and healthcare outcomes. Emphasis on topics such as evidence-based practice, critical appraisal of peer-reviewed articles, conducting critical reviews of the literature, identifying gaps in the literature, and developing clinically relevant research questions utilizing the PICOT taxonomy.
