MPAS 5459 Emergency Medicine Practicum

4 SCH. This is a supervised clinical practice experience that focuses on the skills and knowledge necessary to triage and manage acute and emergent conditions. The student will assist with procedures commonly performed in emergency medicine. Students will interact with other health care professionals, patients, and patients¿ families in times of extreme stress. Assessment is conducted using preceptor evaluations, written examination, documentation of patient encounters, and PASS Day activities.
