The Master of Public Health Online (42 credit hours) is an interdisciplinary degree limited to three types of applicants:
1) dual degree students currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program other than an MPH;
2) holders of an advanced degree, e.g., PhD, DO, MD, JD, DVM, MSN, MBA, PA, PharmD, or
3) persons with three or more years of substantive, professional experience in a health field
The program is completed on a part-time bases. For dual-degree students, courses from their other degree program can be used as electives in the MPH program. Students gain foundational knowledge and skills in program planning, budgeting, management, policy, and ethics. Program graduates will contribute to the expansion and enhancement of a competent public health workforce that is needed for advancing the health of the population in Texas and beyond.
