MPAS 5232 Health Promotion and Disease Prevention in Practice

2 SCH. This course stresses the role of the PA in health promotion and disease prevention in medical practice. Students are encouraged to consider the social, psychological, spiritual, economic, cultural, and ethical aspects of health promotion within the challenges of the modern health care system. Emphasis on the practical application of health promotion and preventive medicine principles/goals is included. Assessment is conducted using quizzes, reflective discussion board assignments, group presentations and written examinations.
